The Concerned Clergy of Muncie offers a non-renewable scholarship to high school seniors who after graduating are pursuing a college degree (Associates or Bachelor). Students from all backgrounds and income levels are eligible for the Concerned Clergy of Muncie Martin Luther King Scholarship.




How To Apply


 1. Download the application below & Complete


2. Submit a two page, double-spaced, typed essay on “Why I need this scholarship?” (Must be turned in with application)


3. Save the form as your name; (example: John Doe)


4.Email both the form and your essay to: Muncieconcernedclergy@gmail.com

   

COLLECT & MAIL THE FOLLOWING:

1. A (Typed) letter from your Local Pastor stating  “Why you need the scholarship?”
2. A sealed copy of your high school transcripts
3. A letter of recommendation: Guidance counselor or teacher.

Applicant Evaluation

Applicants will be evaluated on the following:

- Their commitment to their local church
- Past academic performance
- Written essays
- Personal achievements
- Community service

 


Scholarships are awarded to seniors who promote cultural diversity, respect, and the realization of Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream. Selection also considers how the student has shown dedication to academics as well as faithfulness to their local church.


Application Acceptance

After you have been notified that your application was accepted you will be required to do the following:

Submit a written essay which contains the following elements:
(Typed, double spaced and no less than 2 pages)

  • Personal achievements

  • Involvement in community service

  • Commitment to your church



Award Distribution

  • Award recipients will be contacted via US mail, once the determination has been made.

  • All awards will be distributed to recipients in a timely manner once the CCOM has received the *Acceptance Letter from the school they will be attending.
